Weight loss:
Of course I will discuss weight loss. Most of us have a goal: “I want to lose at least ____ lbs. Can you help me?” The answer is yes. Weight loss is one of the reasons why I became active and wanted to know more about fitness. To be honest, I did it all wrong. After a baby I started running. I never really worked on the speed. I just added more and more miles to my daily runs. After a while I was up to 7miles per run. It took so much time out of my daily life. I also realized that I have lost weight but I did not like how my body looked. I had lost weight and muscle as well. I looked “dry”. I am going to tell you that there is definitely a better way to loose weight.
Why Weight Loss?
What does healthy weight loss really mean and why is it important to you? Anyone can loose weight (mostly water weight) by dieting, but it takes a hard work and determination to monitor your diet, lift weights, and do cardio to properly lose weight and most importantly maintain it. That is THE ONLY WAY I want my clients to loose weight. If weight is lost in a proper way, it will benefit you in so many ways. You will see it, you will feel it and everyone will want to be you.
The best weight loss program is when you use heavy weight training and cardio. Training with heavy weights are the best for building muscle and improving strength. If you can keep gaining strength while following a proper diet and doing cardio, you will see the results.
A weight loss program does not just mean losing weight. It means that you will get healthier and stronger at the same time. When I started seeing results in myself was not when I lifted heavy weights but when I changed my diet. It took weeks for my body to adjust. Nothing suddenly tasted as good, but now I cannot even look at the fast food. My body craves balanced meals.
There are also a lot of medical reasons why weight loss should be part of your exercise program.
What does it mean to you:
By losing weight you will feel good. You will gain confidence when you put your favorite pants on from years ago and it fits better than ever. Strength training is more for you to be strong but weight loss is important for you to feel comfortable in your body.
It also means that you will most likely have to change your diet step by step and stick to it. It will be the most intense program from all of my programs.
